American Legion Minnesota District #7

DISRICT #7 --Scouting

2023 EAGLE SCOUT OF THE YEAR

DOMINQUE CLASEMAN

TROOP #313 OLIVIA, MN

Dominque received national attention this past summer for the outstanding Veterans Memorial he designed, raised over $77,000 from organizations & individuals in the surrounding area, obtained necessary permits & contractors to help build the memorial, organized his work crews, & how he had money left over that will now be used to help his hometown with other important projects/programs.

The amount of effort, stick-to-it-ness, headaches, and coordination of all aspects of a project this size is astronomical!

And - he meets all aspects of the myriad requirements for this reward

Support for the Boy Scout movement came at The American Legion's first National Convention in 1919. Today, there are more than 2,500 Boy Scout units sponsored by Legion Posts throughout the country.

Supporting Boy Scout activities is natural for Legionnaires, who bring their service-learned skills and experiences as Veterans to bear to help build character and positive traits in "Young America." Few other Post activities generate more goodwill from the community.
